A recent McMaster University graduate in Global Peace and Social Justice and Indigenous Studies, Katie has built experience across advocacy, engagement, and creative communications. She previously interned in Communications, Media, and Sustainability at Rothmans, Benson & Hedges, where she contributed to media monitoring, supported anti-smoking campaigns through campaigns and content, and worked on large-scale sustainability initiatives.
Additionally, as co-founder of Hand in Hand, a nonprofit organization, Katie has led initiatives addressing inequities in fast fashion, housing insecurity, Indigenous justice, and more. She has received recognition for her outreach efforts and community engagement. She is headed to London School of Economics in the fall to pursue an MSc in International Social and Public Policy.
